All in the family!

We were very happy to be included in the wedding celebration for Marc’s nephew Bruno and his wife Elizabeth. We had a wonderful time and I really enjoyed seeing one of my toppers on an actual cake! This design was an evolution of my stick figures wedding cake topper. Thank you Marie-Lou for the great shots of the cake!
This design is now availble in our Etsy shop:

Beaded Parrot

Beaded Parrot

I’ve been experimenting with adding beads to make a more filled in look for the pins. This parrot was a commission from the Viva Vida Art Gallery in Pointe Claire, Quebec.

New Years Cards!

As usual, my Christmas cards magically transformed into New Years cards! Since we are super-busy right up until Christmas with jewelry and wedding cake topper sales I focus on my cards after Christmas. I was very lucky this year to have been able to close my Etsy shop for 2 weeks over the holidays. Nice to find a little balance and take the time to recharge for 2012!
The cards have watercolor backgrounds with copper wire snowflakes which are attached to the watercolor paper. My mixed media cards are available in Montreal, Quebec at the Viva Vida Art Gallery:

So I am following the advice of many marketing mentors and am utilizing social media to its fullest. Here is my latest YouTube video; a tutorial on how to make Snowman Earrings. They are super-cute and were a HUGE success this holiday season!

Sweet Sixteen

My friend’s daughter had her Sweet Sixteen party at her mom’s gallery The Viva Vida Art Gallery in Pointe Claire. As a gift I made her a special cake topper with wire and beads. I used a special gold wire that I had purchased in Barcelona many years ago. The party was a masquerade ball and the topper fit perfectly with the theme.

The beautiful Canadian autumn colours are the inspiration behind these new mixed media art cards available at the Viva Vida Art Gallery in Montreal.
